Anyway, I'm told the helmet is just a modified Deepeeka Corinthian. Nix just slapped on a laurel wreath.

I've seen the picture now. Hmmm - I think Terry Nix must have seen a picture of the Autun helmet several years before and then had rather too much to drink before making his version. I think the resemblance is passing at best.
