Attic Helmet found?

Is this finally an actual Roman Attic Helmet? Its likely more of a pseudo Attic type but it certainly has the distinctive separate brow plate. If anyone has any information on this helmet and its background I'd love to know.

This is so-called Bassus helmet in the Mougins Museum (a.k.a. Auxiliary Cavalry ACA 10 (Private collection) in the database which was once on this site). The helmet is from a private collection without certain provenance. It was first published in ANTIKE WELT- Zeitschrift für Archäologie und Kulturgeschichte. Band 5/2008 „Die Soldaten Roms“.

There are actually a number of recent provenanced finds of this "Pseudo-Attic" type which is believed to be the helmet type depicted on the famous 1st century cavalry tombstones, most importantly:

The helmet from Hallaton near Harborough, Leicester, Southeast Leicestershire, UK, found in a 'ritual space' in South East Leicestershire, in 2000, along with several hoards of silver and gold coins dating from the late 1st century BC to mid 1st century AD:
