Anyone have any idea why this late roman has partial segmentata on his shoulders???????
The "historical review" also has the dates wrong Rome wasn't invading Briton in 385 BC.
Curious to see if this artistic license gone wrong or actual depiction.

Comes back to the Arlon relief again (it's been discussed before on RAT). That's not dated to the late Roman period however.

I have some photos of that one, but wasn't it dated to early 1st century? That was a fun trip, Jasper, I hope we can do it again sometime! I bet there was at least one or two museums we missed!

OK so I'm not crazy. It's not a bad figure otherwise.

Doesnt the historical overview state that the soldier was part of a force protecting Britain from
saxon invasion? Pity about the lorica on the shoulders - even if this equipment was worn, it just looks too 2nd century - like its cobbled from an existing set of Imperial period lorica (which of course would not be around or useable then). Otherwise it is a fine figure.
R. Cornelius hadrianus, Guvnor of Homunculum, the 15mm scale Colonia. Proof that size does not matter.

I may just get this model and chop off the Lorica plates. It won't take much work to fill in the gap with green stuff.
