I've more about this chair at home. (This one isn't published yet. Annelies koster is still working on a publication of the burial field this one is found. (Hatert, Nijmegen))

But, as we speak, this chair is being developed by one of the many companies that's on RAT. As far as I know it will be released later this year. So I would advise to wait a couple of months, untill it will be ready. (yeah, I'm waiting for this one for a couple of months now, but there is some progress Big Grin )

Quote:Hi Manuel,

There is a folding chair found in a rich woman grave in Hatert, Nijmegen. You can currently see a nice reproduction of it in the Museum het Valkhof.

I forgot to mention some details. It's from the early second century. The wood is from beech, there was found some pieces of red and black leather and the bronze and iron parts.

Thanks for the pics Jurjen.

Looks like all known dutch folding chairs and tables seem to date from the second/ third century !

As you see there are some examples known for folding camp equipment.
Make your choice out off these, and let one being made by a blacksmith ,or a carpenter , that you know to your specifications.
Try to stay as close as possible to the original, i mean here the general shape.
If you want to make a exact replica, this can be expensive and labor intensive because some were decorated by incrusation , inlaying with brass or silver wire, and or Niello.

Looking forward to the end result.

Good luck
