I've searched, but could find nothing recent. So, are there current examples of folding table/chairs made/offered for sale? I've seen the folding stools, but am not sure they'll hold this un-Apollo like body.

Any help would be appreciated. Big Grin

Peronis has the Deepeeka ones, but not enough enquiries to order any....Hint hint. but you are probably looking for a supplier closer to home.
Iron folding stools weigh a lot when packing for the weekend. I stick to wooden benches, wooden stools, a folding wooden stool, and lots of trestle tables. Being camp furniture you can stick to the less impressive period woods like beech, apple and oak. I do have one box in black walnut, but that wood be a rare thing in northern Britain. If all else fails get a red deer skin and stick to the floor. You can't fall off it.

With enough mead, you can fall off anything.

I've never fallen off the ground, but sometimes I've have to hold on
Cazary had some nice folding stools wit hhim in York, but he wasn't selling them  (in use by proprietor)

Let me guess, and if you closed your eyes, the world started turning nauseatingly fast, right?
I purchased the iron work from a member of legio XXX who is also a blacksmith. The seat I made.

It folds along both dimensions.

And with eyes open.

The Norse had a story about putting a drop of beer in the eye to see things as they really are. Given the fact the world is spinning at around 630 mph (at my usual latitude) perhaps it just opens the doors of perception!

I must name my next home-brew 'Foucault's pendulum'!
Robb,

How about this one (from the auction link to the Guttman collection auction...)

Nice stuff!! 8)
Are there also (folding) stools known with back support? (My back is really bad  Sad )
Hi Manuel,

There is a folding chair found in a rich woman grave in Hatert, Nijmegen. You can currently see a nice reproduction of it in the Museum het Valkhof. Here a pic of it

Hi Jvrjenivs Peregrinvs - do you have any more info on that chair: it's a brilliant design for those of us with dodgy backs! Big Grin
