apron discs with decoration

I've yet to do it, but apparently cold enamel (black) can be a good imitation of niello if steamed during its curing process, by turning it to a matt finish. There's a thread on the subject where I linked to a PDF on working with cold enamel. Peronis started the thread, IIRC.
