I first watched it (in 1986/7) with Brian Dobson, who is featured in it standing on the trench side, and who was a) a bit annoyed that the thing took all his best staff away from where he was digging and b) mildly embarrassed by a sequence (not in the version EH have used) where part of the armour slid majestically off the top of the chest! I had to hoof it over to the Poly (now Northumbria Uni) to get a suitable projector as the Newcastle Uni AV unit didn't have one.
