Salve, Brothers.
I recently completed this balteus that I intend to use for a 1st Century centurio impression.
The plates are sterling silver and were made by Holger Ratsdorf (HR-Replikate), and the tip is fashioned from sheet silver.
I did the leather work and assembly.

No, these are a Vindonissa type (Cat. No's 944, 945 and 946)

Thanks, Sulla. I enjoyed making this one, although the small size of the rivets made it a little "trickier" than my former efforts. :?
As Peronis states, they are from Vindonissa.

Thanks, Andy. That did occur to me as I worked on this project, but if I am not mistaken these plates actually pre-date our tenure there, which did not begin until on or about the end of Civilis' Revolt, ca. 69-70 A.D.
Nonetheless, I like the idea that they came from the same location as one of our postings.

Are the Vindonissa type (Cat. No's 944, 945 and 946) that Holger makes silver or silvered bronze?

Here is my sword belt in detail, it seems Rob and I both like the same dolphin design .
And a full view.
It is 3oz. veg tanned cowhide lined with 1oz. veg tanned cowhide. I did all the stitching with colored linen thread.

What Kalkriese plates? I didn't know there were any, let alone Holger making some!
I'm aware of the silvered apron fittings, bit no belt plates.
