Here's my old belt. My new one uses the same belt plates, but has the crescent terminal ends, and is dyed red.

The old leather broke, but I managed to save the Albion Herculaneum plates and terminals:

A close up showing the beads:

The buckle came from Nix Imperial and I made the frogs. The beads are soldered onto brass wire that passes through the wraped around ends of the plates.

I'm afraid it's not a very clear photo, but..
The plates are from Colchester as is the buckle and strap stiffeners. The studs are copied from a find at Wroxeter, the pugio frogs arom Hod hill and the terminals are from Tekije. All silvered brass.

Here's a couple more clearer pictures..

The dagger will be replaced as soon as the new Deepeeka silver-inlaid one becomes available!

@Byron.. The components were commissioned from Nodge Nolan. He has quite a big range of reconstructed British finds. I had them all silvered and put the belt together myself.

It wasn't cheap! with the silvering it was £440.00 for the components only. :? But, Nodge is a wonderful craftsman and VERY accurate in his reproductions. He's a good friend too which helps! I've just commissioned him to reconstruct some of the long Batavian belt hooks from the Kessel site!

The only pics of my pugio I have here at work aren't that clear, but here's one or two to be going on with until I can post a better one..

That is pretty impressive.... Confusedhock: So would ordering components from some of the german sites work out cheaper, as my belt/cingulum is very basic... I would settle for the bronze look for now, just want to replace the
strap discs for something better, and the terminals! I have seen a couple of different styles that are interesting, but not sure if good for our period.
The ones with the eagles are smart....?

Does Nodge have a website?
