yes, the edges and the circle are painted red, the belt was dyed with a dark brown leather dye. used wax hemp for the sewing. raymonds press for teh buckle, strap end and dangley and made the brasswork

no no helmet yet. was gonna try to make a simple ridge helm due to lack of good heavy infantry helmets but i havent started yet.

i have a thick red wool coptic tunic done with no trim, but its too thick and scratchy. so i am waiting for my white linen to get here and make another (got some red linen for the trim)

what about trousers? do you think the thorsberg style are ok? i have a brown wool pair of those made.

Yes, Thorsberg or Damendorf style trousers is OK. In fact is the only information we have and, furthermore, it fits the trousers depicted at the Silistra (Bulgaria) grave 8)
