Yup, that´s a really bad book. BUT, it gives you a sort of a summary overview. You just have to be able to seperate good from bad. "critical method" that is.
If you are new to the third century, it´s still worth reading (not buying), I´d say. Also it is very nice to find all the mistakes in the book step by step while you read more other stuff about the period.
