Corinthian Helmet padding and strap

Hi ,
Can anyone help me please ? My son has just bought a Corinthian Helmet but it needs padding to fit snug , What kind of padding should be used to hold it Firmly on his head ? Any pictures would be great .

You can use also the search facility of the forum looking for arming cups or comforters.
Also all the Meuseum maintenance staff I spoke too agree about helmet lining but cannot identify the material.
