Miniatures Question
#16
Pendracken's 10mm Late Romans are stunning 8) and now wish they did some decent and a larger range of Barbarians to go with them.

Also try Foundry for all the periods in 28mm, Gripping Beast do some awesome Late Roman and early Dark Age stuff, Crusader make some very nice rank and file.

Miniart have produced Late Romans in plastic in 1/72nd scale and are worth looking at but many companies produce Romans try checking out The plastic Toy soldier review website for details and pictures.

Companies are now also producing Imperial Romans and Celts in hard plastic with multipose weapons, heads, etc in 28mm.

Essex 15mm are still very nice to paint and cover most periods.

The Warhammer Historical Late Roman Army book The Fall of the West and The Age of Arthur provide Warhammer army lists for the later stuff and are worth a look.

All the best,
Darren

28mm Miniatures in affordable plastic from wargamesfactory
should be just right for building Warhammer Ancients armies.

I will post photos when I get mine painted up, and show them next to Wargames Foundry and Old Glory figures.

there is also British company producing 28mm Imperial Romans in hard multi-pose plastic called Warlord Miniatures and they also do Celts to for around £18 a boxed set. They are both superb sets and they also produce metal castings/sculpts of Command Figures and specialist troops. They produce some very nice chariots and cavalry for the Celts in metal and a nice range of civilians. Smile All excellent for use with Warhammer Ancients/ historical war gaming.

Sorry i'm no good at posting links Sad
