In Aalen in southern Germany is the Limes Museum. I visited it some time ago and noted a book on the Limes Tripolitana, a subject that I find interesting (here is a photo of the Bu Njem fort; more soon).
However, I forgot to buy the book, so I wrote an e-mail to order it. I received a message with some banking details, to which I had to reply that I do not live in Germany, which creates some problems. After that, I received no news - until today, when there was a little parcel, with the book and a brief letter in which one of the museum's employees told me that it was "kostenlos" (free).
If I'm not even allowed to pay, well, here is something that I can do in return: tell you sincerely that the Limes Museum is worth a visit. If you ever visit the German county known as Baden-Württemberg, go there.
