Roman belt- help on translation needed
#1
Could someone help me with a translation of this belt, please?

I understand it comes from a German private collection, but any more info would be very interesting!
If someone could re-size it so that it can be directly posted, that would be helpful- beaten by the technology again...

Thanks

Caballo

Hi Paul.
It says Mnèmnó, which I believe means something like memory, remembrance.
Greets!

Jasper ,

Thanks- haven't seen that one before! The style to me looks similar in age to the Utere Felix belt- so a second/ third century date?

Regards

Could the letters be jumbled?
MNHMÔN (mnêmôn) means "unforgetting" or "mindful".
