I am researching still for the illustrations that will feature these figures: it will be 2 illustrations and each one of these figures will be feature in one of them (alongside other warriors of the Roman Army of the period). All your comments are helping to to improve the work.

Have a look at their website. Although based in the UK there are an increasing number of members from other countries including Portugal.

I have seen their website and it is great. I have traded some e-mails with one of the POrtuguese members, a talented artist named Guida Casella.
I personnaly am more interested in the historical (military) illustration, so far. But I recomend everyone to take a look at the AAI&S website: it is great and full of talented artists!
I am entirelly self-thaught having started to draw about 4 years ago.
Presently I feel that I must improve my drawing skills (human anatomy) and experimenting with different painting methods.

I am researching also the background for the illustration of the 3rd century army.
I am thinking of some easily recognisible image of a roman fort of the period.
