I know what you mean, I was frantically trying to get a tunic, ANY tunic done in time. But then I had work to do anyway when the day came.

(sigh)

When is the fall event?

Travis if I would have known! I have like 3 loner tunics for Roman, and two for barbarian.

Ave Paulus!

Wonderful pictures of a wonderful event! It looks like a fantastic turnout of legionaries, at least 21 or more by my count. What legios were they from?

Roman Days is what I miss most from my days living in PA. That, and the camaraderie of Matt, Roger, Greg, Rich, Jeff and the rest of Legio XX VV.

(Sniff!) Brings back happy memories.

The legacy of the bellydancers at our Lupercalia parties is a direct reference to that party at your house when we did the Franklin and Marshall event.

Rich, you need to bring back them bellydancers to get Matt to come down every year

Thanks for posting the pictures, Paul. I'm glad there was someone who was able to take pictures of the formations/drill demos. I still can't believe I was a part of it! I still get a tinge of "Period Rush" when looking at the pictures! I kept wanting to take pictures "inside" the formation, I think that would have been really cool...But I kept forgetting my camera and of course my hands are full with pilum and scutum. Oh well.

Now all we have to do is get all of the Legions up here to Massachusetts to have some fun with Leg. III Cyrenaica! Big Grin

Did you have a spare water heater as well? It wasn't just the tunic, it was a whole alignment of events that kept me away, but thanks a ton anway!!

Looks as if it was a good event with a good turnout. Even without having met most of you in person, I managed to recognise Matthew Amt, Primvs Pavlvs and Danno Ulpius in the pictures. Someone needs to talk to the chap in the Imperial Italic type 'C' helmet about how to wear his tunic though!
