Of course if all you care about is statistics Jim, it's much easier if I took a look at our site visit statistics.

Heh. Okay, here goes.
Since subscribing to this service on November 17th last year, these are the assembled statistics for the domain Romanarmy.com. Numbers exclude visits from my home address:
Average: 11.02 pages per visit
Visits: 105,579 (average 723 per day, trend is upwards)
Pageviews: 1,163,280 (average 7967 per day, trend up)
62.79% of those visits are made by returning visitors, the rest is new.
45.38% comes to the site through bookmarks/typing the address, 23.99% through google, the next largest referrers are yahoo and livius.org (thanks Jona!)
14,353 visitors have come to the site more than 200 times in that period.
35,359 visits came from the US
23,512 from the UK
6,045 from Germany
5,070 from the Netherlands
5,015 from Spain
4,371 from Italy
3,423 from Belgium
3,238 from Canada
2,265 from Australia
2,165 from Finland

Does that satisfy your thirst for statistics for now?
Greets!

That's a lot, meaning people seem to browse the threads a lot once they're in.

Ave

As of this morning, we have 760 members but, only 58 have indicated where they are.

Where are users from

Rank From where How many
1 UK 11
2 Canada 8
3 USA 7
4 The Netherlands 6
5 France 6
6 Germany 5
7 Belgium 5
8 London 4
9 England 3
10 Virginia, USA 3
Arrow Total 58

Last week I made certain suggestions about how we might improve our stats. Today's suggestion is; if you wish to indicate where you are in more detail, why not use your sig, as I have?

Check back next week to see what effect today's stats have had.

I agree - it should be compulsory!

Well, I agree too that members should be encouraged to tell a little more about themselves, but it would not be fully correct to say that only 58 have indicated where they are. That's just a top ten. 408 members have actually filled out their location field in their profile (check the memberlist & sort by location to see).
I'm perfectly willing to consider making location compulsory - i.e. talk it over with mods - but not willing to enforce how & what they put there just to get nice stats.
Greets!

Interesting, but i don't seem to have that option. Must be browser-related.

If you are in Europe make sure to click on one of the local options the site gives you, otherwise you will not be added.
