Salve!
I just received a book from amazon.co.uk. It is called "The Complete Chronicle of the Emperors of Rome" by Roger Michael Kean, illustrated by Oliver Frey. Published by Thalamus Publishing.
First impressions: big book (28x24 cm, 320 pages). It is a particularly beautiful book in my opinion. The maps are the best I have seen in a long, long while. Only illustrations are pictures of emperors busts and coins made by Oliver Frey, but what a pictures! They are technically perfect and they give the most life-like impressions of the emperors I have ever seen! If the content is in the same leaque, I will recommend this book highly. It is narrative history of the emperors.
I have also ordered a book about Byzantine empire by the same publisher.
Regards,
