Actually the prefecture of western Attica has made a great effort in resent years to promote touristicly its various locations. It might be possible to approach them, as Stefanos said, after the elections and see how they might respond to such a proposal.
Personally though, I would prefer 2008 as a target. It would give the Greeks here more time to prepare the event in a suitable way and the red tapers here to decide.
The prefecture includes sites like the keeps of Fily and Aegosthena, and the cities of Megara and even more Eleusis! :wink:
