Hi Caius here, I noticed that at least two of the guys there at Archeon were wearing Aux E , Are these two 3rd century types or were they wearing very old helms for the period ie" Late Roman" After all this is advertised as a late Roman event. I dont mean to be critical just curious. Needless to say you guys look great by the way very sharp. Cheers Caius Thom R

The Late Roman period starts at the 3rd century, specially in its economic crisis. Although, this is all arbitrary... :wink:

Ivan is correct. We think of the 'Late Roman' period as starting halfway the 3rd c. when things begin to change. besides that, 3rd c. equipment was certainly in use in the early 4th c.
