Besides, Macro would have Flashman for breakfast lunch, and a nibble on the side to go with his Lucanian sausages from Paulus Flaminius. In fact, Cato would as well.....

Flashman was actually the 'hero' of Tom Brown's School Days, a novel by the forgetable Tom Hughes.

Flashman was in every significant battle in the 19th Century; in the Thin Red Line and the Charge of the Light Brigade, survived the Afghan wars, beat the Sikh's, was with Custer at the Little Big Horn, a member of the Apache, looted the Emperor's palace in Beijing, got through Picket's Charge, commanded at Rorke's Drift, impersonated Bismark, got the VC at least once, rose to Field Marshall, called the queen 'Vickie", you get the picture.

How can Cato or Falco or anyone else compare??
Legio XX
Because Cato and Macro didn't beat up and roast young children, unlike a certain 'villain' of Tom Brown's Schooldays

And the Romans have only just started. Give Mr. Scarrow a good while longer and then we shall see
