Did the Earth move for you last night?
#1
Apparently there was an earthquake last night here in the UK. I was clueless until I saw it on the news. Anyone feel it?

Nope. Someone phoned in from aberdeen saying they did, but I was awake at the time, and felt nothing.......

I was just nodding off when the room started shaking. I've spent the morning straightening every picture on the wall.

Yeah, I just saw it on the news while having coffee! Confusedhock: I'd never heard of earthquakes in England before ... it reminds me of that freak tornado in London last year, weird stuff!

I was watching TV at 01:10 when we got the quake. Quite violent in Suffolk!

Woke me up (deep sleeper), dismissed it as wind (i live square on to the side of a hill it's often strong enough to make more noise parts of the house). Didn't feel much movement (had i been lucid i would have worked that out as an earthquake, but I'm dopey when suddenly woken) so went back to sleep.

Don't laugh too much...
I was in the land of nod, dreaming of scones, cream and jam when a giant rat jumped onto the bed and (being more afraid of me that I was of it (naturally)) started quivering.
Sitting up in the dark with a start, I uttered my finest war cry to intimdate it (not having a big brave wife with me to hide behind) and then lashed out.
I must have hit it, as it banged against the window (phew).
Back to sleep, resume snoring, now about those scones...

What a weird nightmare!!

Just getting over flu. House could have fallen down, I wouldn't have woken up.

Yep, sat bolt upright trying to work out who was knocking on the door when that wall doesn't have a door in it. I suppose that was the chest of drawers rocking against the wall.

I remember thinking it sounded like the 1984 earthquake, but then decided I must have dreamed it, checked the doors and windows & went back to bed.

Some of the neighbours pets were disturbed and some people's pictures went crooked on their hooks "just like Santa came and messed them up". One little girl's piggy bank broke, apparently: that's her story .

I was in Rome when the quake hit Assici, that one realy woke me up infact the whole city shook. Then later that morning I was sitting on some steps in the Piassa Navona, the most wierd thing was that all the Pigeon's took off then a split second later there was an after shock. That was the most interesting thing I ever saw, just how do these creatures sence that these things are going to happen.
