I had the opportunity to take pictures at the National Museum in Copenhagen (though not at the Glyptotek Sad

several pictures of hoplites
a 3-disc cuirass front
(undated) Corinthian helmets
a Coptic tunic, 3-7cent (I think that's archaeologist for 'who the hell knows?')
7th cent BC Egyptian tunics and sandals
Funerary sculpture from Italy, various, 3rd -1st cent BC, interesting mostly for clothing
A 1st century face mask from Italy
A 1st century pugio from Pannonia
Several items from the Hjortspring and Nydam finds
Reconstructions of the Thorsbjerg, Huldremose and Lönne Hede textiles, and originals of the Huldremose finds
Three 2nd cent mummy portraits
An undated parade shield boss
and a number of Roman luxury items that made their way to Denmark during the Roman Iron Age

Anyone interested please contact me

It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Many thanks for the pics, Volker! Big Grin
At first sight, I'd say that the 'Coptic' tunic is fairly late, already into the Muslim period, 7th or 8th AD, at least...
The horizontal pleat is a reapeating feature, very useful to shorten a garment woven in one piece without cutting the valuable and useful borders. Notwithstanding, that feature conceals sometimes a tunic woven in three pieces using a narrower warp-weighted loom and, therefore, cheaper. Needless to say that this part of the tunic would go hidden by a belt...
