Thank you very much Charlie Smile The drawings  in the book are to scale and show how irregular the belt plates are so I did the same all hand cut. Te book is " Archaeologia Vol.109 1991"  a great set of drawings of belt plates, bucklesfrogs ect Wink

I have been looking at ebay suppliers for leather. I just irdered some appropriate size offcuts to make linings for my helmet cheekpieces.

Fabricivs just put leather belt strap in search and then  leathercraft category  about 1800 to choose from Smile
