I'm trying to locate pictures of more "open" chapes for gladii for a possible reconstruction. As I can't think of a way to describe them, I'll link a picture of a reconstructed chape of this variety. However, I'd rather have pictures of originals than replicas if any pictures could be found. Thanks!

For some reason it won't let me link the exact product. Go to Roman Empire > Weapons > Swords. There it should show up as "Second century glaive Trajan"
