It's okay if you like that sort of thing I suppose ;-)
..........seriously though folks. That's a beauty and no mistake. Unless I am very much mistaken it was made the same craftsman who did my Heteny helmet.
An excellent Xmas present Mr V.

It looks wonderful! I am very jealous. Make sure you don't lose it in a bog . . .

Great helmet jyrki. For some reason I thought you already had a great reproduction late roman helm? Or is this a second one??? :o

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I try not to lose it in a bog  . Yes, I had also a very nice Berkasovo helmet which is in the possession of the Fectio group (the coolest re-enactment group on the western hemisphere with members of superhuman strength). The maker of the helmet is Patryk Nieczarowski / Nieczar of this forum. It just seems that Poland produces these wonderful artists, be it helmets, swords, fabrics, kitchenware, you name it...

Wow, that is a beauty!! I love the detailed craftsmanship. The red lining is a superb touch, too. It adds even more class to an already wonderful helmet.

Thanks Robert! I thought that the oxblood colour would go nice with the brass and also with my other gear.
