Wow, very nice PierPaolo.
Visne partem mei capere? Comminus agamus! * Me semper rogo, Quid faceret Iulius Caesar? * Confidence is a good thing! Overconfidence is too much of a good thing.

It looks an object of great beauty.

Will it have an edge????
Moi Watson

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Merlot in one hand, Cigar in the other; body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!

It's really nice. I take it it's a later sword? 3 -4th Cent?

I think she has her eye on the one that sits in the bottom of our cavalry box at LEG II AVG and never gets used, along with the Peter Connolly saddle. But that is a good substitute.

Oops, just found this...yes, I have drooled all over my keyboard. It's fabulous PierPaolo <sigh>

And yes Kevin, I covert the Legio II Augusta sword more than the saddle!

There are plans afoot  but I do need to get a new horse as well
