Looks like it was a marvelous event. I'm glad this battle is getting attention as Cannae tends to overshadow it. I am interested in putting together a mid-Republic impression - actually just a little after the end of the 2nd Punic War.

Like Graham, I too am very interested in the illustrations and the model. Are they at a local museum or information center?

Yes, the drawings & pictures are from the local small but good museum, and also from the site itself.

One of the men in my office is from a small Italian town a little south of Lake Trasimeno and remembers his father telling him about the battle and remembers visiting the lake.
