The cheek guards look very long to me, and I would echo what has already been said about the brow band. However, I think you could easily solve these issues by using (as has been suggested above) the same cheek guards as for the Imperial Gallic 'F', which you already have patterns for.
As to making smaller rosettes, I think you do yourself an injustice if you feel this cannot be done. If I, a rank amateur at these things, can make dies for making these and similar items at home with nothing more than lumps of brass, a hacksaw and a file, then I am sure you must have someone somewhere within your staff who can do a much better job than me in a fraction of the time. :wink:
