Robert, The damage could also suggest that the metal was rather thin in those areas since other helmets show similar damage going towards the top of the bowl. I doubt there would be more decoration. There is also information that this helmet was repaired or redecorated a few times. The original rosettes could have been more foward and the later repair pushed them back. It could also be possible that the silver sheet on the helmet was removed by force leaving holes behind.
Rado, the neckguard is almost good. The angle from which it leaves the back of the earguard should be a sharper angle not almost linear from the earguard. Also, the steps on the neckguard need to be raised more. The ridges are just too shallow.
