It was a section of femur but I do not know which leg it would have been from as it is not a bone I usually work with and it was from a pet shop and so I did not have the whole bone to look at. The picture is not much help to me unfortunately as I would need to be able to see both the fore and hind femurs in the flesh (so to speak) to recognise the section I was working with.
I get the feeling this is moving rather rapidly away from the subject of Magnus' belt.
