Ghostmojo, I think if you pissed on the alter in the Mithraeum, you would soon find yourself
looking at the wrong end of a gladius!

I've had that one pre-ordered for so long that I've stopped believing in it!

I emailed them and they said they were hoping for it to be done by late december.... but if the book I made a contribution towards, is anything to go by, then add 6mths onto that, and we might be close.... Oxbow are shocking when it comes to sticking to publication deadlines.

Has he got his hands under his cloak or is he just really, REALLY pleased to see Len?

The theme is very interesting! Good suggestion, but i can't order all good books on the market Sad(
I comming days i will open here theme about the cucullus.
It isn't "a gallo-roman&roman invention" i found the evidence by the ancient Veneti and in our native Slovenian's Hallstatt culture and by the Ilyrians, too.

My copy has arrived this morning which is a real nuisance as I am supposed to be working from home today and the temptation to stop and read it is extreme to say the least!

From a quick flick through, however, it is readable, highly informative and very well illustrated (although not everything in colour Sad ; it would be too expensive to produce otherwise I suppose).

Mr Sumner's illustrations are in colour, however, and well up to his very high standard of work.

Certainly looks like a "must have"; I'll make my mind up when I've read it - after I've done some work!
