In Royal-Athena Galleries has a photo of the Roman helmet:
(edited by mod to remove linkl)

Publications are indicated under a photo. Bat I don't hawe these publications, аnd unfortunately these article not present in libraries of my country. Maybe who have these publications? Where was this helmet found? This is authentic helmet (or maybe imitation of the XIX century)?

Thank you.

That´s not the problem, your picture. You should read the forum rules before posting. The link and the name of the vendor are a problem. Best you discuss it with a moderator.

Christian, I've edited the post to take out the link, and will discuss with the other mods, but as it is provenenanced, I think the rest is ok- but, as I said, am checking with my colleagues.

Thanks all- two of us have discussed, and the photo is fine- link and vendor edited out. The question of whether it is authentic is a good one.

I will add a few ideas

I and my friends want to make a few helmets on the epoch of Dacians wars. Mentioned helmet very interesting. He reminds other helmets of end 1 century. For example:

http://www.romanarmy.com/cms/component/o...Itemid,96/
http://www.romanarmy.com/cms/component/o...Itemid,96/
The alike are represented on a Adamklissi monument. And I wanted to know anymore about a helmet from gallery. But he a bit unusual. I want anymore to know about him. I worry - maybe this helm non authentic imitation. I need specialist consultation.
