I start new text: well the celtic items here on the website are not well done:
http://legvi.tripod.com/armamentarium/id289.html
But i have a question about the roman helmets, too:
I would like to make a full reconstruction of the solder's equipment in time ab. 20 BC. He was a celtic cheef in a roman army. He didn't had a helmet - because there is not a helmet item in his grave. It is very late Lt III (Lt D2) grave.
I think the correct helm coud be a Imperial Gallic A Helmet.
But we don't have this helemt items in this area, where the grave commes from. We have many other roman's items but not a helmet of the time ar. 20 BC.
We have younger helmet items, Gallic C, G etc .... they are evidented in Kroatia, too.
Well i have the same question as the man above who was started this topic.
I order my items allways by individuall way - i don't get them via mass-online shops ala Deepeka etc ....
Question:
Where get the RAT members good Imperial Gallic A helmets? What means the zitat in my tet above?
Where can i get good individuall ordered Imperial Gallic A helmet and how much does it cost (euro)? Do that handworkers for helmets have any homepages, too ?
Hope somebody will helping me with advice..... *)
Thank you!
Joze
Edit: i found the earliest Weisenau helmet here on the HP - but it is not of the time ab. 20 BC:
http://www.replik-online.de/de/index2.html
why the price is ab. 10 x higher as by the Deepeka or some others handworkers - is the replik-online helmet really much more better and more authentical, too?
