I have just rasped a pole for an equites standard
i have also an aquilla
but my question is
Was/ Is there a standard length to a pole that these standards were attached?
Or is it typically ruled by how large a car cabin is these days?? :-D

Transportation is a necessary pole length consideration, of course. If you have to put your standard outside your car for transport, a cover for the top parts and any cloth banner is pretty easy to make and will help protect your fringe from wind tattering. Don't know about authenticity of vex banners, but then, they didn't travel at nearly the speeds we do, now did they?
