For the past couple of weeks there has been an archaeological dig at the site of York City Council's new West Offices. If you're in York between 25-26 June you can visit the dig (which is just off Station Road where it passes under the city Walls, just to the left of the War Memorial).
It's the site of a large public or civic building, including baths. There will be lectures on the hour, every hour, from the excavation team. They will talk about the dig, background information, and discoveries.
The dig is open 10.00-16.00 on Saturday 25th June and 11.00=15.00 on Sunday 26th June
