You certainly have an excellent voice for radio! It whetted my appetite for the book; Drusus is certainly an interesting and important character, so I'll be looking out for updates as to when I can get hold of a copy. I must admit to assuming you were a woman upon seeing your username, shame on me! I don't meet many male Lindsays.

Thank you Lanta. Your comment is very kind. As I hope you know I am one of the panelists on the Ancient Warfare podcast.

Lindsay is the male spelling, Lindsey the female (think Lindsey Davis, for example). The photo on my website would clinch my gender too. LOL.

My parents clearly didn't pick up on the distinction. Or perhaps this is the reason I grew up such a tomboy?

I must admit to being new to the world of podcasts, as I tend to listen to music when reading the internet or books. Nothing like a bit of Rachmaninoff to stir the senses when reading about the ancient world!

@Lanata: I noticed that you are from Ceredigion, which makes you a fellow Cymro :-) ) My birth city is Caerdydd/Cardiff. Small world!

I hope you tune into the Ancient World podcasts produced by our friends at The History Network:

We'll be recording another episode soon.

?US-based subscribers and 'Military Heritage' magazine readers:
Editor Roy Morris Jr has advised me that my 3,000-word article on the life and exploits of Drusus the Elder will appear in the February 2011 issue in the Soldiers section. Look for it in North American bookstores and newstands in the New Year.
