Wansdyke Walk

Hardly. You live in the area. Is it possible to go cross-country of would we have to stay on the roads and paths?

The first section, east of Maes Knoll is too fragmentary and elusive to be worth the effort but we could walk from the ford at Compton Dando ( I wonder what form the dyke took at the crossing?) to Combe Down on the outskirts of Bath...then into Bath itself for a cup of tea and a scone at The Baths.
All cross country, about 7 or 8 miles. A nice day's stroll with a break for a pub lunch.

I'd need to write to landowners to get permission and scope out the routes for access points but I reckon it'd be a good day out.
