Interesting article.
He claims that the dictatorship of Sulla is not related to the Roman credit crisis, but I wonder if the two are not somehow related, if one prepared the ground for the other to take root, so to speak.
I also wonder what Neil Faulkner's take on this would be -- this seems to be perfect for the Marxist school of Ancient History. Perhaps he will chime in at some point in some venue. :roll: :?
