Just a note for all who wish to make their own pteruges. Check the net through your favorite used book dealers for a book entitledBackstrap Weaving by Barbra Taber & Marilyn Anderson. Copyright 1975, published by Watson-Guptill; ISBN 0-8230-0422-8.
The book goes into extreme detail on not only how to make a backstrap loom, but any number of items to make. Granted it takes time to do the weaving, but the end products look accurate and it will save one a lot of money. If one has the time and inclination to do so, one could not only make pteruges, but also ones own tunica. But as I said, it will take time...lots of time!!!!!!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Your comments will be welcome.
