Shoes for your lady
#16
We might be able to get Rusty at SOTW to carry them as one US vendor.

Glad of all your enthousiastic reactions, but I reserve judgement on this product till I have seen the next pair. Perhaps it would pay to not rush into things and see how DSC shapes up on the next issue of this model? There is promise here, this is certain, but let's set a high standard on this, after all, a shoe that pinches is no shoe at all.

Salve!

I have not heard from DSC for some time. They said they were busy on the modifications of the first model and would send it over. I will send them an e-mail to inquire into the state of affairs. Have been rather busy pounding iron, some great spearheads (different types) and am now working on very large and nasty seax blades! Smithing season is there again, cold, rain, sleet and snow, all neighbours are hiding inside so I am again at liberty to stoke up the forge and create hideous hardware. Big Grin
Basicly I now forge in autumn and winter and sell most of the procedings in summer. Even got an order from the Valkhof museum in Nijmegen (great Roman collection) to do a true replica of a rather unusual pilum for their educational department. Should be fun!

Salvete Omnes!

Well, DSC has cut the mustard! Here is the revised version of the shoes, having altered the cut and lacing, forefoot. They look great and are as close to the original as possible. Alauddin & Vijay have informed me selected dealers will be Rusty Myers(US), Adrian Wink (UK) and Jef Princeel for the continent. So if you want some, contact them for sales details direct, as I was just in for the development.
I also included a picture of the pilum I did for the museum, very unusual type, but this is almost exactly the size of the original find.
