Lamellar cuirass & belt...
#1
Hi there!

Here is my new lamellar cuirass. To my surprise my wide late roman belt sits very tightly with it. I just need to make some kind of subarmalis with it...

Thanks Byron Big Grin !

I got the lamellar a couple of weeks ago from these guys:

http://www.kolczuga.of.pl/

I was a bit afraid ordering at first because I had a VERY BAD experience a year ago when ordering a cuirass from another vendor Cry ! Fortunately this time I am very happy with the cuirass and the service. Recommended!

The belt I got much earlier from the one and only "Primus Paulus" (Paul Mullins). Highly recommended too 8) !!

Thanks! Any suggestions on the subarmalis? I was thinking about a linen dark blue one with pteryges perhaps. Also with good padding on the shoulders...

I was thinking Pteryges, along those lines, would look good with heavy quilting of the shoulder/chest area! Blue would be the business!

Unfortunately I cannot help with images, as they are in my head.

Hey, this rises a question: What kind of pteryges / subarmalis would a late roman soldier have had? I know the issue is controversial even with earlier types, so what are the possible options Confusedhock: !?
