We've had fun with our Civ. group (The Roman Way) and legion (Legio X Fretensis).

What you've done is more or less what we want to do here. Had there been an active group like it here, I think I would have joined as a plebian tradesman rather than a milites. Not that I'm not having fun as one; I just want to portray more aspects of Rome than the legions. We brought up all that at this event we did, and hashed out a lot of good stuff for the future.

To judge by the reactions we got on our 2 excursions thus far, there's a lot of interest! Roman re-enactment doesn't get done here that much, as I'm sure you know. So the field is ripe.
