Very nice feminalia! What is the difference between these and braccae?
I always get this confused.
Visne partem mei capere? Comminus agamus! * Me semper rogo, Quid faceret Iulius Caesar? * Confidence is a good thing! Overconfidence is too much of a good thing.

Salve Robert!
I'm a Sagittarius in my association now. My personal equipment are: lorica hamata, gladius, cingulum, peanula, caligae, tunica and feminalia.
Helmet, scutum and bow, are property of my association (I don't have in my house  ).
Among few days I will post my picture
.
My next work will be a subarmalis, as you!
Braccae and feminalia I think be same item.

Could you post the pattern you used? It is out of 4 pieces, isn't it?

Salve Rita!
Great, I am a Sagittarius as well (OK, working on it!). I have a Grozer recurve Hungarian bow, a round right slung leather quiver (ref. Coulston) and am making my own arrows and points (just taken up smithing!). Fletching based on Dura finds. I am making my feminalia of wool as opposed to leather, because I could not find good evidence for leather ones in the period I am doing (late first Century, Batavian Aux). When I get the subarmalis finished, I am planning on posting a How-To to give others ideas. Have been taking pics as I progress.

For jvrjenivs: the pattern are two pieces, but needs to cut 4 pieces (cloth or leather).
I try to post this pattern.
