You make a good point Matthew. I took another look at the outfit and for a Halloween costume or church play it's not bad. The woman who made it must have looked at a photo or drawing of lorica segmentata and put some thought into trying to get the pleather, or whatever it is to look right.

So i guess for what it's ment to be (a costume), she did a pretty good job.
