Crests are alive and well

Just saw amazing footage of the nightly closing of the India-Pakistan border, involving a ceremony by each country's border guards. The uniforms are actually the day-to-day dress, including the huge crests on their hats. The ceremony attracts large crowds who encourage the guards with cheering and chants. Looks like a lot of fun.

Just goes to show the crest is still alive and kicking in actual day-to-day duties.

I can just imagine two countries using larger and large crests because they don't want to have a shorter crest than their neighbours :lol:

I'll just bet they don't take kindly to anyone who jokes about the caps. They are amazing to see, no doubt, and they no doubt have a long tradition.
