Sorry, no gladius, but a spatha.
Here's my son back when he was 1 or 2, already playing with the thing.

OK. Technically speaking, mine is a spatha...

It\'s all an accident, an accident of hands. Mine, others, all without mind, from one extreme to another, but neither works nor will ever.

Mine too is a Spatha. The locket plate is from Ptuj and the chape from Vindonissa. Made by Erik Konig (Lechtl)

Here are mine!
Pompeii gladius and a scabbard made by Len Morgan of Fabrica and Deepeeka Mainz gladius (actually the blade shape is Fulham type) and a scabbard I modified a bit...

Here is a pic of the 2nd gladius I ever made. Its forged from a piece of old spring rod I found in a junk pile. Its somewhat based on a Fulham style blade, and the grip is American walnut of my own design.
This is the gladius I currently own. The sword itself was made by Joe Piela several years ago, and the scabbard is made by Len Morgan. The sword has been changed alot since Joe first made it. I have ground nearly .5 pound from the blade, and reshaped the point from rounded to the more correct straight shape. I also changed the grip from a wooden one to a bone grip.

And here's the other side. I know they didn't use SPQR on thieir swords, but I just couldn't resist.

Quote:Steve did you make this? No, I had it made. I didn't want the brass at the end of the guard, it should have been inlaid, but thats the only way he did it. I had Bola wood used and of course the artwork is mine.
