Hi!
I Wonder if You can recommend me some books about warfare In the ancient Word. I don’t mean any particular nation, but an outline of warfare between IV BC-I AD. I’m looking for some information about logistic, operation aspects of war, meaning of religion, superstitions in the armies, role of chariots, dogs and cavalry. It would be best if those titles were available in British bookstores and libraries.

From 1285 B.C. to 451 A.D. the summaries are brief but the pictures are good, and drawn out diagrams of the actual tactical moves the armies made really help.

Thanks for all the information. I have already bought some books about ancient warfare, and some titles that you gave me (for example Anglim, Connolly, Warry, Goldsworthy) I had already in my collection. But about Delbruck, from what I know and from what Sean mentioned, his work is quite old one. Is it still protected by copyrights or can it be freely downloaded from the internet?
