I have been offered this book
The Armour of the Roman Legions - Robinson & Embleton
Is it any good, I know Embletons painting but not the other guy

Robinson is H. Russell Robinson, godfather of Roman imperial armour and helmet typology and research. You'll find it cited in the bibliographies of many articles and recommended reading lists.

Is there a reason why Robinson's work has not be reprinted?

It'd cost a lot to do (photo and illustration rights, royalties, etc) is what I've been told. But you never know.
